Guardiola wants to focus on Huddersfield

 Manager insists there will be no complacency on City’s part
  Guardiola pleased with how goalkeeper Ederson has settled.
Pep Guardiola said of the Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson: ‘He’s so calm, always the same behaviour in good and bad moments and he gives us confidence.’

Pep Guardiola has said Manchester City will not be guilty of the complacency that led to Manchester United’s defeat at Huddersfield Town this season.

The Premier League leaders play at the John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday. José Mourinho’s side lost there 2-1 on 21 October and the United manager said his players’ attitude was to blame.

Guardiola said league leaders City, who are unbeaten after 12 league matches, must match Huddersfield's desire and he is wary of the threat they pose after being held to a frustrating goalless draw by Wagner's side in the FA Cup last season.

"Complacency will not happen," Guardiola told reporters on Friday. "We played last season against them, we were not able to win there in the FA Cup and it's complicated there.

Guardiola praised wide forward Raheem Sterling, who has already equalled his best ever goal tally for a campaign with 11 in 17 appearances this season -- one more than City strikers Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero.

Sterling, whose finishing has often been criticised in the past, scored the winner in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League.

City will be without injured defenders John Stones and Benjamin Mendy against Huddersfield this weekend but everyone else is available for selection.

Centre back Nicolas Otamendi returns from suspension and will partner captain Vincent Kompany, who made a successful comeback at Leicester City last weekend after missing two-and-a-half months with a calf injury.
