Reports: Real Madrid set to beat Chelsea and sign spur's £25m rated defender
The full-back is being monitored by Chelsea, Juventus and PSG.
Real Madrid enjoyed a stellar season last year where they won the La Liga title and became the first club to retain the Champions League trophy. The European giants started this season strongly, and by mid-August Madrid had added the UEFA Supercup and the Supercopa de Espana to their trophy cabinets by defeating Manchester United and Barcelona respectively.
However, Madrid have had a rocky few months since August, and thanks to some poor performances, are now third in the La Liga, eight points behind their rivals Barcelona. Zinedine Zidane has decided to strengthen his squad, and according to reports in The Daily Mail, Tottenham full-back Danny Rose's name is on the French manager's wish-list.
Danny Rose began his professional career at Leeds United but moved to Tottenham in 2007 before he could play for Leeds' senior team. In spite of the fact that Rose put in several good performances for Tottenham, including a goal on his Premier League debut against Arsenal, he was sent out on several loans in the following three seasons.
Rose only became a regular first-team player for Tottenham by 2012, and was widely praised for his performances in the following seasons. However, a string of injuries have plagued him throughout his career, and even during his fittest season, Rose could only manage to play in 28 league games.
The heart of the matter
Danny Rose was a part of the Tottenham sides that were serious title contenders in 2015-16 as well as 2016-17, only to walk away without any trophies. The full-back had stated in August that he is running out of time to win trophies and that he has one big contract left in him.Tottenham are not exactly the best paymasters in professional football, and right-back Kyle Walker was persuaded to leave the North London by Manchester City, who offered him a significant pay-raise. Rose currently earns around £65,000-a-week, which is a sum that Real Madrid could easily outbid.

Danny Rose is currently on the radar of several clubs, and his willingness to leave Tottenham is quite evident. The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are keen on acquiring the player, and Real Madrid will have to act swiftly. If Rose can remain fit and put in some good performances for Spurs in the coming months, a move to Madrid is could go through.
